Taeko Inoue
Taeko Inoue started her career as a beautician at a small salon in Nishinomiya City in Hyogo prefecture, Japan. In Japan, she studied “Total Beauty,” referring to the holistic approach to beauty, under the guidance of legendary Japanese make-up artist, Shu Uemura, who believed that “to pursue beauty is to maintain one’s good health.” She went on to win numerous awards at competitions hosted by Shu Uemura’s Company.
With “Beauty and Health” in mind, Taeko came to New York and continued pursuing her career based on the concept of “'Total Beauty’ in one’s true color.”
For many years, Taeko worked at a French hair salon, where she developed a new hair styling technique that incorporated European fashion and beauty aesthetics. She also worked backstage at fashion shows and on editorial photoshoots for magazines.
As she experienced changes in her physical condition over the years, Taeko refocused on Oriental Medicine practices, which she studied of in Japan. She learned about scalp massages that help relax head muscles and control blood flow, which can naturally help maintain bodily functions in daily life and noticed that muscle rigidity on the scalp generates a significant impact on one’s facial expression.
Understanding that scalp massages are indispensable in “Beauty and Health” — a key human need — Taeko eagerly studied to gain the necessary specialized knowledge in scalp diseases and conditions, hair loss, and the effects of chemicals on the scalp. She recently became certified in the U.S. for Trichology, to further pursue “Beauty and Health.”
